Global alloy support

The most efficient contact path is to describe the part rather than only naming a grade. Bohler can respond more accurately when the inquiry includes whether the material will be machined, polished, coated, sterilized, loaded in compression, exposed to corrosion or heat treated by an approved supplier. Those details help the metallurgy team decide when a quick quotation is enough and when the request should move into a fuller property review.

What to include with your inquiry

A useful Bohler request usually includes more than a grade name. Share the application, expected load or wear mode, corrosion exposure, target hardness, current material, planned heat treatment, required certificate package and delivery region. If the part is tied to a regulated program, include the audit or customer requirement at the start so the documentation path is not added late.

For tooling projects, note whether the part is a mold insert, die block, blade, punch, fixture, guide component or wear plate. For medical or aerospace work, note the quality framework and any customer-approved material list. These details help Bohler distinguish between a simple stock inquiry and a specification conversation that should involve metallurgy review.

For repeat production, include annual usage, preferred stock form and any inspection steps already written into the control plan. Bohler can then align the commercial response with certificate language, packaging, labeling and release timing instead of treating those items as separate follow-up tasks.
